Half-Pipe House

The House Visions exhibition in Seoul showcases prototype dwellings in which an architect is teamed with an industrial partner. Partnered with Samsung, a large half-pipe with rooms above it was encased in a wood envelope.

Visitors would share decisions on how to occupy the house. Asymmetric loading would cause the house to tilt. The geometry of the house responds directly to the social interaction within, making explicit the relationship of inside occupany and outside orientation.
