dinner for six
Dinner for Six is an ongoing study. This is the latest in a series of custom wound carbon fiber with architect and researcher Andrew John Wit, and with the addition of sculptor Tim Rusterholz.
The carbon fiber in this project is wound in a criss-crossing mesh in flat to paraboloid panels, then twined for additional structure and assembled into six large rooms. For this project, the carbon fiber was powder-coated and dipped in paint. Because the carbon fiber is covered, capactive sensing is possible without having direct contact.
The six interactive rooms are suspended over busts from Western traditions that have been distorted and pressed down under its weight.
